Edit – There is one more update rolling out & the new version now is 0.3.1.0 .. a bug fixer to the recently rolled 0.3.0.0 update.

Instagram BETA for Windows Phone is slowly & steadily upping its pace of improvements with the latest update bringing in several refinements & performance improvements however users still await the much desired Video posting & Direct Messaging features available on other platforms.

But hey Instagram is pretty new to WP, we need to give some time to developers. There you go, it’s a pass for you Instagram. 🙂

Beats Music comes in competition to apps like Nokia MixRadio, Xbox Music & Pandora. Pricing is a factor not to be overlooked with the service costing a steep $9.99 a month with a free 7 day trial available.

‘Lumia Black’ update now seeing widespread release for Nokia Lumia 520 devices across the globe !

Yes, it’s true Nokia is now releasing the heartily awaited ‘Lumia Black’ update to Lumia 520 devices (at many places) across the globe so if you are holding one then it’s time to hit the software update button.

The update size is between 160 – 180 MB.

Update 3 – AT&T Lumia 820 & Lumia 920 now receiving the ‘Lumia Black’ update.

Update 2 – No Glance Screen on Lumia 520 with Lumia Black. Just to clarify.

Update 1 – Lumia Black brings ‘Double tap to wake up’ to Lumia 520. Cheers !

Here comes pretty good news for all you Windows Phone users. So far we had been looking at leaks of WP8.1 (which the recent ones have turned out to be fake) and what it is expected to bring (viz Notification Center, Cortana etc) but now even the release dates are out if the rumors in the market are to believed.

It’s time for a change, Microsoft’s Cloud Storage application so far known as ‘SkyDrive’ will now onwards be known as ‘OneDrive’. The change comes in view of a lawsuit filed by ‘Sky Broadcasting Group’ over the use of word ‘Sky’ which infringes with their trademark. The result is OneDrive.
