As it turns out, Samsung was trying to show-off its all new OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) tech fitted in its Galaxy S6 series devices at the launch event. But it seems that … seems? !! .. turns out that a year old Lumia 930 beat the buddy Samsung to it.
Yesterday’s Berlin event from Microsoft was not just restricted to launch of new Lumia devices and accessories but indeed as you would expect from any Nokia (now Microsoft) event, it was also about the new imaging innovations.
Lumia 830 was in focus courtesy its 10MP PureView branded rear camera and Lumia 730 earned the attention for its 5MP HD front facing camera.
That was not all as Microsoft also unveiled the upcoming Nokia Camera update called ‘Lumia Camera‘.
Nokia Lumia 1020 is one classy beast when it comes to Camera. It’s not so only because of the 41MP sensor it flaunts but also due to the PureView tech (Oversampling) it incorporates + the ball-bearing enabled Optical Image Stabilization.
Things are going to get drastic when the next update aka ‘Lumia Black’ arrives because the Camera is getting a huge update in the form of newer algorithms + the RAW image support.
If you ever had two thoughts in your mind about the camera on Nokia Lumia 1020 then you should see this post .. If you never had then I must tell you that Lumia 1020 has beaten the hell out of Apple iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1, LG G2 & HTC One on photography front. It proves that there is still time for the competitors to match it.
Nokia Lumia 1020 was just made official for Indian market & which means you would start seeing several comparisons associated with it. Unleashthephones have been putting to test the camera on Lumia 1020 with the latest & best from Sony i.e. Xperia Z1 (honami). The comparisons are below for you to see.
“Don’t let the darkness ruin your photos” – that’s what the below Ad from Nokia has to say. At the center-stage this time is Nokia Lumia 925 & Nokia is making sure to promote fully that their devices are better than the best at taking ‘Low light photos’ & why not they (920, 925, 928 & 1020) are the best.
Lumia 1020 houses a stunning 41MP Camera Sensor (unheard of in a mobile phone except in Nokia‘s 808 PureView). To accompany this huge sensor is a ball bearing enabled ‘Optical Image Stabilization‘ (mech engineers like me will be a lot happy on reading this). And to compliment the above 2 is Nokia’s Pro Cam – an innovatively designed camera software app that let’s you tinker around with settings just like a DSLR but in a much much better way. Did I forget the 6 lens element assembly (Carl Zeiss) for better sharpness & accurate color reproduction ?
It’s like we are back to talk about Lumia 1020 after a long time .. yes actually because last we wrote about the device during launch time. Not wasting any time let’s have a look at the Sample videos from Nokia Lumia 1020.
The below videos cover everything right from night time shooting to loud sounds to focusing to zooming to macro to audio quality. Check out.
